Music Ministry

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." -- Psalms 98:4

The scriptures offer many references to music as an expression of love and reverence for the Lord.  It has a dimension of its own, often exceeding the spoken word in expressing moods and feelings of the soul. Music is used to teach the gospel. It can lift one's spirits and give courage.

"Sing a new song of praise to our Lord; play skillfully and sing with joy!" -- Psalm 33:3

Since the inception of our church in 1996, music has played a key role in the worship experience at Still Waters Church. The church founders desired the Pastor's message and music program to be complementary and equally thought provoking and inspirational. As they did back in 1996, we strive to achieve that goal today.

Each week, the music offering covers a dynamic range to reflect the diversity of backgrounds of our growing congregation.  We offer a balance between new contemporary Christian worship, including songs by artists like Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, along with a variety of traditional hymns.

The music ministry includes experienced musicians who offer their time and talent in dedication to our goal: To provide an inspirational, Christ-centered music experience which brings our community and congregation closer to our Lord and one another.

Still Waters Singers

Lisa Stenulson

Music is a big part of our lives at Still Waters Church, and singing is good for the mind, body and soul.  It can heal, raise our spirits or connect us to our roots. Still Waters Singers share their love of music during worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month and during special services throughout the year.  Songs include a mix of hymns and contemporary selections along with occasional performances with the Children's Choir. The Still Waters Singers practice at 7:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to each performance.  For more information, contact Lisa .
