    Rev. Lori Lossie  email   

    Pastor Lori was appointed to be Senior Pastor at Still Waters in 2016. She lived in Wisconsin as she was growing up. She received her Masters of Divinity Degree in 2001 from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio and was appointed to Hilliard UMC, Hilliard, OH as the Associate Pastor. In 2003 she launched a brand new worshiping community at a second site for Hillard UMC. She went on to serve as the lead pastor for eight years at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, OH. Pastor Lori is enthusiastic about contemporary worship and fosters a strong youth program, outreach and community involvement.

    Jacob Metzler email

    Raised in Solon, Iowa, Jacob began studying music from an early age. While he enjoyed studying a variety of instruments including clarinet, trumpet, voice, and guitar - piano has remained the most important for more than fifteen years. Jacob studied under Dr. Mei-Hsuan Huang at Iowa State University where he received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and under Dr. Jeffery Brown at Western Illinois University where he received his Master of Music in Piano Performance. Jacob has enjoyed many performances as a chamber musician with orchestras and wind ensembles, been a finalist in the Iowa State University Concerto Competition and the Fort Dodge Concerto Competition, attended the piano institute of the Atlantic Music Festival in the 2016 and 2018 seasons, and performed in masterclasses with world-renowned pianists such as Charlie Albright, Simone Dinnerstein, Dr. Arthur Greene, and Sean Duggan. In 2019, Jacob co-founded Beyond Boundaries Duo with his fiancé - Jena Nahnsen. Together they are working towards social and mental health  awareness through unique multimedia performances and developing a new wholistic music pedagogy through the lenses of emotional intelligence and meta-learning techniques. Jacob also enjoys hobbies such as juggling, soccer, basketball, and cooking!

    Vicki Passineau email

    Vicki is a faithful follower of Christ, and a very active member of Still Waters Church:

    • She is co-chair, along with her husband Kelly, of Family Promise
    • Head of the decor sub-team of the Christmas Store
    • Is involved in spiritual growth in study groups
    • Leads in the decor of our church and worship space, including this beautiful altar!

    As Hospitality Coordinator, Vicki equips people to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels welcome.  Additionally, she leads the church in helping us to reach into the world and bring people TO Still Waters Church, whether through events, marketing as we seek to FIND the LOST.  Vicki has background in event coordination and marketing in previous positions.

    Jena Nahnsen email

    Jena has worked with kids in various capacities from VBS volunteer (both in person and virtually), classroom experience throughout college, daycare, and more! She also serves as a representative of the arts on the board of nonprofit Aspire2STEAM, an organization that gives scholarships to young women pursuing careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). Alongside those pursuits, she regularly performs clarinet with her duo, Beyond Boundaries- a clarinet and piano duo, with a focus of bringing social and mental health awareness through unique multimedia recitals and developing new pedagogy through the lenses of emotional intelligence and meta-learning techniques.  Jena currently resides in Waukesha with her fiancé, Jacob Metzler, and two cats, Artemis and Hercules. She holds a Bachelors of music degree from Iowa State University and is finishing up her Masters of Music in clarinet performance at University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.

    Lisa’s background includes 20+ years of work in youth services and emergency medical care with the Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, Little Switzerland Ski Patrol, Merton Fire Department. Lisa also serves as a Board Member and Community Outreach Co-Chair for Michelle’s Action Angels Community Outreach a Non-Profit Agency founded in the memory her niece.

    Kelly Passineau email  

    Kelly and his wife Vicki have been active members of Still Waters Church since 2007. Kelly has actively supported Still Waters' youth programs throughout the years and provided adult leadership to several high school mission trips. Both of their children have participated in various youth programs, as well. Kelly and Vicki share a passion for helping the homeless and lead the Family Promise Ministry.  Kelly enjoys community work and has been involved with organizations such as The Guesthouse of Milwaukee (men’s shelter), American Red Cross and United Way. He is learning to play the guitar, enjoys woodworking projects and cooking. Kelly has been employed at Rockwell Automation for over 30 years. His current position is in the training organization, developing and leading technical training programs.  Kelly, wife Vicki, and daughter Katie live in Menomonee Falls. Their son Tyler and his wife Megan live in the Georgia area.

    Hap Itson email

    Hap is originally from Southern California and moved to the Midwest to attend the Methodist Theological School in Ohio receiving his Master of Divinity Degree in 2001. He earned his undergraduate degree in art at Cal Poly Pomona. Hap retired from full time pastoral ministry in 2018 after 21 years of service. He and Kathy found Still Waters Church and have made it their church home. He and Kathy live in Kewaskum.

    I grew up in a ministry home surrounded by family who were actively engaged in church and the ministry. My father and grandfather were both United Methodist pastors. The long family tree throughout our lives has included numerous pastors from Lutherans to Methodists. Being in ministry was ingrained into our daily lives and each of my brother and sisters found their own call to ministry in diverse ways. Music played a huge role in the ministry of our family. My mother is an accomplished pianist and quite often played in the churches we served. My father had a beautiful singing voice and sang all the time whether he was in church or the car. They strongly encouraged music with all of us kids and we all played instruments in band and took piano lessons. We actually performed as a family at church gatherings and worships services.

    Kathy Itson email

    Kathy has been involved in church administrative work for over 30 years. She began at her home church in Upland, California. After five years she, her husband Hap and youngest son John moved to Ohio so Hap could attend seminary. Kathy worked for several different churches since then. She feels very fortunate to be able to return to church work at this point in her life. She has helped Hap in many of the churches he was appointed to and loves being part of ministry. She loves to knit, garden, take care of her grandchildren and enjoy her deck in warm weather.

    John has been a member of Still Waters since 2004, and has been a member of the praise band for most of that time. John resides in the Slinger area with his wife Debi, and 3 children (Aaron, Carter, and Nicole), and enjoys his involvement in music, sports, and scouts. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Computer Systems and Business Administration from UW-Whitewater, an Associate’s degree from UW-Waukesha, and had been working in the IT industry for the past 25+ years.

    Jay maier email

    Jay attended I.T.T. Technical Institute and earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.  He works as an Engineer in Pewaukee. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, running, racquetball, traveling and spending time with his family. Jay has been a member of Still Waters church since 2003 and became the Media Coordinator in January of 2009.

    Gail moved to the area and joined Still Waters Church in 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and many years of experience managing companies and guiding business leaders in their quest for quality and continuous improvement. She is the mother of two and grandmother of five. She loves reading and writing, computers and art, and has a passion for keeping things organized.
