  • January toy drive for children's hospital!

To kick off the new year Still Waters Kids is leading our church in a toy drive for Wisconsin Children's Hospital! We will collect toys through the month of January, and deliver the toys to the hospital the weekend before Valentines Day! Guidelines from the hospital state that all donated items must be new (store-bought and in original packaging) and cannot contain Latex. Also, infection control guidelines do not permit the hospital to accept gently used items, items that have been stored for an extended period of time, or any food. They also ask that there be no religious or violent themes for the toys. As always, church, thank you for sharing Christ’s love through your generosity.

  • Awareness Hour

    4th Sundays of January - April | 12:00 noon

    "Apart" - january 23

Awareness Hour is a new monthly ministry that creates a safe space to have open discussions about difficult topics. We will meet for one hour at 12pm on the 4th Sunday of each month starting January 23rd. The first 4 sessions in January-April, will be based on the docu-series titled Through Our Eyes. This series will look through a child’s eyes at the difficult subjects of parental incarceration, climate displacement, the wounds of war, and homelessness.  Contact Jena Nahnsen with questions.

    • We’ll meet on Sunday, Jan. 23, from noon - 1:00.  We’ll view the docu-series “Through Our Eyes” first episode (30 minutes) on the topic of parental incarceration, and have discussion (30 minutes) on the impact prison has on families and children.  America has the world's largest prison population, and 1 in 14 children in the country will experience the incarceration of a parent. Apart follows Lyric, Eric, and Nnadji as they grapple with the incarceration of parents with whom they maintain a deep connection despite physical distance.  Lunch will be provided.  Please let us know if you would need childcare as well.  Contact: Jena Nahnsen  email if you have any questions.

  • family movie night!

    friday, FEBRUARY 11  | 6:00 pm

On Friday Feb. 11, at 6:00 p.m., we will have Family Movie Night!  We’ll gather at 6:00, and have two different movies playing simultaneously.  One will be for children, 5th grade and under, shown in the large area in the education wing.  Another will be for youth and adults, shown in the sanctuary.  Admission is a canned food item for a local food pantry.  The movies we’ll show are:

    • Luca (For kids 5th grade and under): Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, the original animated feature is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the water's surface.  Overall message: Don't be afraid to be yourself
    • The Stray ( For Youth 6th grade and up and for adults): Young Christian Davis finds a stray dog named Pluto and decides to bring it home to his parents and two siblings. Christian's father, Mitch, works long hours and his mother Michelle just wants a husband who's there for the family. But in just a short time with the Davis clan, Pluto manages to rescue a lost toddler, bring comfort to Christian and help save Mitch and Michelle's struggling marriage.
