. . . in the community

Loving your neighbor as yourself is God's community in action. It is reaching out as we seek to share the love of Christ in tangible ways that meet real needs in our community.

  • Up & out dream team

You're invited to join us in some dreaming! We're forming an "Up & Out Dream Team" with a task of seeking ways that we the church can help people find a path out of poverty. We'll have a meeting on Thursday, November 29, 6:30 p.m. to begin the process of dreaming.

Feel free to come for this first meeting and then decide if you'd like to join us for several weeks of ongoing dreaming, learning, praying, and strategizing. We'll draw on what different groups in our church have learned recently...including some folks from Still Waters who are visiting a church in Columbus Ohio, "The Church for All People" who this month was highlighted in an article in US News entitled "From a Vicious Cycle of Poverty to a Virtuous Circle of Success".
