Join the Christmas Challenge! - The gospel of Luke in the Bible has 24 chapters. What a wonderful challenge to read one chapter per day in the gospel of Luke. Let's journey with Jesus this Advent season as we seek to be yoked to his heart while we await the celebration of His birth! Even if you didn't start on December 1, it's not too late to join in on the challenge. Just start on the day that you start, and go from there!
Cookies for a Cause! - This weekend of Dec. 7/8 we have cookies! Christmas cookies and all kinds of cookies! Our church has, each year, held what has been called a 'cookie walk' in December in which all kinds of cookies are available before and after worship services. This year we're calling it "Cookies for a Cause”! Proceeds from the cookie sale will go to support Family Promise so they can purchase some new cots and bedding, with whom we partner in ministry, as we seek to "find the lost" and support families experiencing homelessness. Come and buy a variety of cookies, and know that all proceeds will go to a wonderful and worthy cause as we seek to Find the Lost, Release the Captive, and Develop Disciples.
Children’s Christmas Program “ADVENTually” this Sunday, December 8th during the 10:30 worship service.
Annual Charge Conference - Each year United Methodist Churches have an annual meeting called a charge conference. The meeting is open to all members of the church. This year, we will be having a 5-church charge conference on Sunday, December 8, located at Cedarburg United Methodist Church, W68N563 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. The conference will begin at 6:00, with dinner served at 5:00, with our District Superintendent, Forrest Wells presiding at the conference. Free will donation will be taken for the meal that evening. If you'd like to carpool, we'll leave our church parking lot at Still Waters at 4:30 that day. Coming for dinner is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other United Methodists in our area, but of course, you can choose to come just for the conference. The annual charge conference is the meeting in which we conduct the business of the church for the year... hearing from our Bishop, approval of lay servants, Pastors' compensation for 2020, etc.
Estimate of Giving Cards for 2020 - Don't forget! Nov. 16/17 was our "Commitment Weekend" where we turned in our estimate of giving cards for 2020. For those of you who turned yours in, THANK YOU so much!!!! If you have not yet turned yours in, we ask that you please do so. This is very important in our planning for mission, ministry and budget for 2020. If you forgot to bring yours, there are extra estimate of giving cards in the backs of the seats in our worship area or at the Connection Center in the lobby. Please fill one out and put it in the offering basket during worship or bring to the church office during the week. Thank you so much, Still Waters Church! I love my church!
Annual Advent Food Drive: Our annual Advent Food Drive is on now. The last several years we have collected HUGE amounts of food for the Slinger Food Pantry to help those in need. Drive runs through the December 21/22 weekend.

Hurting? Congregational Care Ministers are here! - If you ever come to worship on the weekend and you are struggling or hurting, feel free to approach our pastors OR our Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs). CCMs are identifiable by their special Congregational Care name badge, and can provide a listening ear or a prayer. CCMs are lay people trained to walk alongside folks who are hurting. They don't replace, but extend the care of our pastors.
