INFORMATION updates

Things are changing rapidly with the COVID-19 pandemic. As we continue on this journey, with a now “Safer at Home Order,” we will be experiencing even more changes to our lives and days. As a church, we continue to navigate the waters of change!

Regular Worship Services:

We will continue to offer online worship. Online worship will be available online by 9:00 am Sunday morning each week. Click here for our Worship Online services.

Holy Communion at Home:

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. While we are unable to attend worship services in person, we will celebrate Holy Communion together, but separately in our homes. If you would like to join us, please plan to have the elements at your house, including any kind of bread or cracker, and grape or other juice. During our online worship, our Pastor will bless the elements in your home from our church, and we will partake from wherever we are. We consider this a very sacred act that we can do knowing that the power of God’s spirit is not confined to a church building.

Still Waters Kinds ZOOM!

Our younger children (through grade 5) are now doing ZOOM Sunday School on Sunday mornings led by Miss Jessica! What a joy that they can "get together" for an hour each Sunday to see one another, share joys and concerns, and share hope for the future! Let's all be in prayer for our kids, youth, families, and leaders!

Scrip Cards:

Just a reminder- keep buying Scrip cards! We have so many cards for places you’re probably already going: Pick ’N Save, Piggly Wiggly, Walmart, Sendiks, Amazon, Meijer, Culvers, McDonalds, and many more. Please text Robin or John to make arrangements to get your Scrip cards. When you use these gift cards for places you’re already going, a percentage of what you spend goes back to Still Waters Church. Feel free to text or call Robin Olson or John Haas if you’d like to get some.

Our sewing angels continue their hard work. There are medical masks intended for people in our congregation in the Free Little Library outside our church. Please stop by and pick one or more up for your family.  Click here for information about making medical masks.

MaskUpMKE:

Here is another great way you can help out our medical communities by making much needed masks. Please click on the link https://www.maskupmke.org and find out more about this amazing opportunity to help during this time. Anyone can help!

Church Office Hours: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Our staff is actively considering how we are to be the church in such a time as this. We are looking at how we will be the Body of Christ in a new way. Please continue to watch for church emails and check the website for information about how we will function as a church, provide spiritual support, provide for online giving, and more.

  • feeding america

    Wednesday, June 10th | 9:00 - 11:00 am

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. Still Waters Church has been given a wonderful opportunity to partner with Feeding America to help feed Washington County.

Before COVID-19, 10,000 pounds of food was being distributed in Washington County weekly. This is no longer happening.  To help fill the void, Still Waters Church has offered to be a mobile pantry on a trial basis. Feeding America will deliver pallets of perishable foods. Our volunteers will package the food into bags and place packages into vehicles as they pass through our parking lot...drive-thru style!

    Volunteer opportunities are available!

a message from our pastors

Still Waters Church Family,

This week, as we continue to listen to the news and the ever-changing future regarding our coronavirus world, it’s easy to be filled with fear and dismay. But the more we thought about it, the more we remembered one of the verses that we’ll talk about in worship this week:

“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“Fear not.” Words repeated over 100 times in the Bible. And yet… we find ourselves living with different degrees of fear… Fear for our kids/grandkids futures, fear that our classes will not work themselves out, fear for loved ones in the hospital, or rehab, or nursing care facilities, whom we cannot visit, fear for businesses and job loss, fear for those on the front lines, fear for the future of our country, our world, anxiety regarding elections, the list goes on and on.

We are exploring a sermon series called “UNAFRAID: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times.” We're very excited to be able to address some of the issues that we are dealing with in this global pandemic. We pray that you will ‘attend’ church online, and invite a friend to do so as well!

In all things, though, we know Christ will give us strength, perseverance, and hope. His presence never leaves our side. If you are struggling in any way through this, please do not hesitate to call, text, or email one of the pastors or our Congregational Care Ministry Coordinator. We continue in prayer for those whose struggles are great. We pray for those in the medical and health fields, we pray for those who face losing jobs, we pray for those juggling so many schedule changes and work changes, we pray for those who are vulnerable to this disease, and we pray for our broken world to be healed. We also know that there are problems, hurts, pains, and struggles unrelated to the Coronavirus and we pray for those, too.

Still Waters Church, please know that you are a blessing beyond belief. To us, to one another, and in our world. And if you don’t feel you have it in you right now to be a blessing, let one of us bless you with prayers, a phone call, etc.

Grace, Peace, Christ’s love,

Pastors Lori and Bridget
