IN-PERSON WORSHIP DISCONTINUED AT THIS TIME

Due to the continuing rise of COVID-19 rates in our community and the state of Wisconsin, and following strong recommendations from our Bishop and the CDC, Still Waters Church will discontinue in-person worship at this time.

The health and safety of our Still Waters family is our top priority. For that reason, we will continue to faithfully monitor CDC and other health safety guidelines, as well as regular updates and recommendations from our Bishop. We are committed to remaining flexible and modifying our worship practices as appropriate in the best interests of our church family and the surrounding community.

During these challenging times we will be experiencing changes to our days and our lives. Our staff is actively considering how we are to be the church in such a time as this. We are looking at how we will be the Body of Christ in a new way. Please continue to watch for church emails and check the website for information about how we will function as a church, provide spiritual support, provide for online giving, and more.

    our gift to you

In this year like no other, we’ll be worshipping on Christmas Eve from home. We know that will be hard, as the excitement and energy of gathering, lighting candles and participating in Holy Communion is always such an amazing and heartfelt part of our experience.

We’d like to offer a ‘Christmas Eve Gift Box’ to help make this Christmas Eve meaningful in both new and traditional ways. On Christmas Eve, toward the end of the online worship service, we will still light a candle from the Christ candle. We’d like to offer each of you Christmas candles that you can light and hold up at home as you sing Silent Night with us.

These Christmas Eve boxes are available, free of charge, for you. You just have to register to pick them up! Deadline for ordering is December 12. Curbside distribution will be a celebratory time, with staff eager to greet you at your car: 11:00 - 1:30, Sunday Dec. 20

This team will be responsible for purchasing gifts for stocking the store using the money that was donated during our Christmas in July campaign. You will receive Scrip gift cards to stores of your choosing. You will need to keep track of your purchased items on a spreadsheet and turn in all receipts to the team leader.

    TOY HAULER

We need lots of helpers to load a trailer at the storage site with all the toys and supplies. We will then drive over to Still Waters and unload it. Date is Sunday Dec 6th at 10am.

    DECORATING TEAM

This team will help decorate to create a welcoming and festive environment. This will take place during the week before the event. Dates/Times to follow.

    BIKE ASSEMBLY

Hopefully we will have bikes donated and they will need to be assembled. Please bring your tools. Date and time to be determined.

This important step will help ensure we have no mix-ups with gifts. Then you will assist the family with loading their car. You will be going outside so please dress accordingly.

    PERSONAL SHOPPER/ RELATIONSHIP BUILDER TEAM

You will be the paired with a family that has signed up to attend the store. You will be the main contact person for that family. You will be tasked with calling the family after they RSVP to explain the store and answer any questions they have. You are encouraged to call them periodically. You will also need to call the family with their assigned time. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your family’s assigned time on Saturday, December 12 to familiarize yourself with the store setup.

    DELIVERY DRIVER

Some of our guests may need help getting their gifts home, especially bikes. You will be on call to deliver gifts if needed.

    CASHIER TEAM

Items in the store are purchased at significantly reduced prices. Our cashier team is responsible for that financial transaction. You must be comfortable handling money for this team. You will also handle the batteries and gift cards. Taking inventory of these items after the event will be necessary.

    WRAPPING TEAM

Do you LOVE to wrap gifts? We will have a wrapping room where we can use your talents.

  • feeding america

    Wednesday, December 9th

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. Still Waters Church has been given a wonderful opportunity to partner with Feeding America to help feed Washington County.

Before COVID-19, 10,000 pounds of food was being distributed in Washington County weekly. This is no longer happening. To help fill the void, Still Waters Church has offered to be a mobile pantry. Feeding America will deliver pallets of perishable foods. Our volunteers will package the food into bags and place packages into vehicles as they pass through our parking lot...drive-thru style!

    Volunteer opportunities are available!

    DISCONTINUED at this time

  • worship online

We offer online worship services every week. Online worship services are available by 9:00 am each Sunday morning. Click here for our Worship Online services.

  • holy communion at home

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. While we are unable to attend worship services in person, we will celebrate Holy Communion together, but separately in our homes. If you would like to join us, please plan to have the elements at your house, including any kind of bread or cracker, and grape or other juice. During our online worship, our Pastor will bless the elements in your home from our church, and we will partake from wherever we are. We consider this a very sacred act that we can do knowing that the power of God’s spirit is not confined to a church building.
