New to still waters?

  • Everyone is welcome

We are a church without visitors. In most churches, when new people walk through the door they are introduced as "visitors" - a label that says to all that you are not one of us, you are an outsider. At Still Waters, as soon as you come through the door you are one of us. You are a part of the worshiping body - the body of Christ.  You join with us in celebration through the word, sacrament, and fellowship.

The Sacrament of Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. You do not have to be a member of our church - you do not have to be a member of any church - to participate.  All are welcome.

  • casual & contemporary

We are casual, contemporary and committed to helping you experience God in your life in exciting new ways. Still Waters is uniquely defined by our use of multimedia, set in a relaxing atmosphere. Our weekly worship celebrations are driven by guitar and drum led music, prayer, and the healing power of laughter. There is no pulpit or Reverend in a robe. Our sermons are practical, relevant and tie the scripture to today's modern world.

  • church of the dialogue

We acknowledge that no two persons have traveled the exact same journey in faith, and that like fingerprints, no two "soul-prints" are identical. We embrace genuine dialogue as we grow in our spirituality and understanding of the living God. We strive to reconnect persons to God that they may truly experience all that life has to offer. We minister to the whole you: body, mind and spirit.  Our mission is to FIND the Lost, RELEASE the Captive and DEVELOP Disciples of Jesus.

  • Communion

Communion is offered on the first weekend of every month. You need not be a member of Still Waters to take Communion, simply acknowledge that you are a child of God and you are welcome at the Lord's Table. Gluten-free, peanut-free wafers are available upon request.

  • New member class

We'd love to have your join us! For more information about New Member Classes, contact Mary Lou in the church office  or speak to any staff member.

Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking of Visiting?

If you're thinking of visiting us for one of our Worship Services, we have answers so you know what to expect. If you have any questions that we didn't answer, please email us.

What time do worship services start?

Saturday Evening Services start at 5:00 pm (Labor Day through Memorial Day). Sunday services are at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. We have a fellowship time that occurs between these two services offering coffee and friendship.

Where can I park?

We have on-site parking. You can enter the building through the front doors. Our sanctuary is to the left.

What happens when I arrive?

You will be greeted by a member of the congregation at the front entrance. An usher will hand you a bulletin and direct you to our sanctuary. If you would like to tour the facility, please ask a greeter to introduce you to a staff member or visit our Welcome Oasis.

Do you have childcare?

We have an professionally-staffed nursery that provides care for children 0 - 3 years old during all services. Please ask a greeter or usher to take you there. When you arrive in the nursery, you will be asked to sign in your child and you will be given a pager so that we can contact you if you are needed.

Do you have Sunday School?

We have Sunday School (we call it "Tidepool") for children ages 3 years to 5th grade. Tidepool is held every Sunday at our 9:00 service. Children should be taken to classrooms upon arrival. Classrooms are assigned by age group. Near the end of each Sunday service, teachers will bring the children into the sanctuary for the Children's Message and they will be dismissed to their parents after this message. When you first arrive, you may ask a greeter or usher to show you and your children where the Tidepool classrooms are located.  During the school year (September-May), Tidepool is offered during all services.  Click [here] for more information about Tidepool..

Is your facility accessible for the disabled?

Our building is handicap accessible and doesn't have any stairs. You may park in the handicap spaces near the front door.

Where do I sit?

There are no seating plans so you may sit wherever you feel most comfortable. We have chairs (not pews) that are padded.

Is there a dress code?

Dress comfortably. Don't worry about what you wear. We are a casual, contemporary congregation.

What happens during the service?

During the service you will be able to connect to God through contemporary worship music provided by our praise band, prayer and meaningful messages.

What about communion?

We offer communion on the first weekend of the month and during special worship services. You need not be a member of Still Waters to take Communion, simply acknowledge that you are a child of God and you are welcome at the Lord's Table. (Gluten-free wafers are available.)
