All that is needed is a heart for discovering and sharing the Good News. As your Minister of Spiritual Formation, I need your input into what we need to grow together in Discipleship. This could include ideas for small groups, worship experiences or whatever the Holy Spirit places on your heart.

 

 

Some of the plans for the upcoming year that already in planning include a class called “Living the Questions: An Invitation to Progressive Christianity.” This class is offered in three- 7 week series. Come for one series or for all three!

 

Also, we have a weekend away planned for the women in the church March 11-13 at Pine Lake. The theme this year is “Becoming Bread.” We will explore ways in which the process of bread making is like that of our life journeys---and we will get to eat freshly baked bread!!! Save the date—more details to come this fall.

 

Come partner with me in developing spiritual formation opportunities here at Still Water’s so we can continue to “Find the Lost, Release the Captive, and Develop Disciples of Jesus Christ.”

Empty Pill Bottles Needed, labels removed,  for Bread of Healing Clinic in Milwaukee. Bread of Healing Clinic is a non-profit clinic who serves more than 3,000 people who do not have medical insurance. They began as a ministry of Cross Lutheran Church in 2000 at 1821 N 16th Street Milwaukee. In the beginning they had one room, one resident physician volunteer, one nurse volunteer, and one half day each week, the clinic opened and saw 150 patients in 2000. Since that time, the clinic has expanded to four half days each week at Cross Lutheran, where 300-350 patients are seen each month. Two other Bread of Healing Clinic sites have also opened, one at Eastbrook Church on the third Saturdays of each month; the other at the Agape Center every Wednesday evening. These two sites see an additional 50 patients each month. More information can be found at http://breadofhealingclinic.org.
