Feeding America
May 8 @ 2pm
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. Still Waters Church has been given a wonderful opportunity to partner with Feeding America to help feed Washington County.
We start giving out food around 2pm or as soon as we are set up. If you would like to come early you may as we line up the cars in order as they arrive.
If you are interested in volunteering to help pass out food please come to the church at 1:00pm and we will show you how you can help.

Family Promise
Family Promise is a community response to prevent individuals & families from becoming homeless. Washington County is one of 200+ affiliates in 43 states-and one of 11 in Wisconsin-that serve the homeless. Nationally, Family Promise has been providing shelter since 1987.
Family Promise of Washington County was started in 2009 and opened in 2010 due to a need for housing services in the area. It started out as the Interfaith Hospitality Network of 14 congregations in the county. Today we have over 15 congregations in the Hospitality Network and have expanded our services to include the transitional housing program and the Rapid Re-Housing program in 2012.
In June of 2014, the Promise Center opened. Since then, we’ve been able to open eight supportive apartments in the building and provide space for Professional Services Group, which expanded for 2019.
In February of 2018, Karl’s Place opened. Karl’s Place is a shelter that serves single men & women at risk of homelessness. The singles shelter addresses a gap services in our community, bringing together shelter, meals, basic health services, and quality case management for individuals at risk of homelessness. Karl’s Place also has 4 supportive apartments for transitioned guests.

Safe Families
Safe Families for Children is a movement fueled by compassion and faith to keep children safe and families intact as families go through crisis. Through Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches, they temporarily host children and provide a network of support while parents get back on their feet. It is an honor to surround Moms and Dads with a community of families who believe in them and to be there for them when families need us most.
