Junior High (Grades 6-8)
Junior High Convo: Junior High Convo is April 30-May 2, a weekend at the Chula Vista with 700 Junior High Youth from all over Wisconsin. Our time will be filled with great music, games, speakers, and yes the water park. The cost of the weekend is $125 per person, meals not included. This cost is based on 10 people attending. The early bird deadline Sunday, February 14 is fast approaching. A deposit of $62.50 is due by the deadline. There is not a sign up sheet for this event, please R.S.V.P. directly to Brian.
Friday, February 26-27: G.N.O. (Girls Night Only) @ 8:00 pm -8:00 am. An overnight for junior high girls. Games, movies, etc... Sign up on the Youth Bulletin Board.

Fill To Fulfill Senior High Mission Trip Fundraiser:
This year's Senior High Mission Trip is to Toronto, Ontario, Canada June 19-26. We have 34 Youth and Adults serving!
Please participate in our fundraiser by taking a free can of soda, drinking it, rinsing it, filling it with change,
cash, or checks, and returning it on Sunday, February 28.

Vacation Bible School 2010
This year's VBS is High Seas Expedition: Exploring the Mighty Love of God.
VBS will be held August 8-12.
All children ages 3 years old - 5th Grade are invited.

This year's Tidepool offering is going to Nothing But Nets an organization that supplies anti-malaria bed nets to Africa. For every $10 collected a net will be purchased. Thank you for your continued support.
To date, Still Waters has purchased 115 Nets.

Celebrate Recovery - For anyone with Hurts, Hangups or Habits
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-Step support group that helps people work on all types of hurts, hang-ups and habits. It is a safe place where all who come can grow stronger in their personal relationship with God and others by sharing their experiences, strengths and hopes.

The Gathering in Milwaukee
On the 2nd Monday of each month members of Still Waters and Emmanuel Community UMC serve the homeless a hot meal at The Gathering in Milwaukee. If you would like to join them in this service contact Cindy Brown 677-1120 or meet at Emmanuel in Menomonee Falls at 3pm on the 2nd Monday of the month to carpool down to the site. You will return around 6:30pm.

This Lent, come explore the complex themes of love and forgiveness as explored in “The Shack” by William P. Young.
Class meets Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 February 24 - March 24.
Plan to have read the book prior to beginning the class as we will watch portions of a video of the author discussing his own life and the themes of the book and then engage in dialogue together.

REKINDLE YOUR MARRIAGE: A Married Couples Weekend Retreat is being planned for FEBRUARY 26-28TH at Pine Lake United Methodist Conference Center. Please see Dave or Debbie Spears in the narthex to reserve your spot. Topics to be covered will include communication issues, problem solving and conflict resolution. Couples Retreat Meeting: Wed. Feb. 17th at 6:30pm
Short meeting for those interested in going on the couples retreat.

On February 14th at 2pm we will kick off our 8th annual Chili cookoff
Judging, eating, auction, and fellowship!
$5 per person or $15 per family
Includes Chili, Cornbread, Beverage and Dessert
We are looking for people to enter the following items for judging, so get out those recipes!
~ Chili (spicy, sweet, vegetarian, white, green – it’s up to you)
~ Corn bread
~ Desserts
All proceeds from this annual event go to our apportionment offering. Apportionments can be viewed as our church’s tithe to the greater United Methodist Church. This money is used to fund the mission of the United Methodist Church in over 165 countries around the world, support more than 1,300 missionaries, over 100 community centers, 330 retirement homes and long term care facilities, 59 child care facilities, 69 hospitals and health care facilities, 8 two year colleges, 82 four year colleges, 13 theological schools and help to give over $4.5 million in scholarships that reach more than 3,700 students. It was this money that helped to plant Still Waters Community UMC here in Jackson.

We need help in getting donations, if any of you are really good at this area & would love to help out please contact Patty Korn 677-8401 at scottkorn@att.net with the places that you will be getting donations from. Please turn in your donations by February 7th to Patty Korn or the Church Office.
If you would like to donate something instead of hitting the streets please contact Patty Korn 677-8401 at scottkorn@att.net with what you will be donating with the value on it that way I will not have to guess at the value.
Help is also need a couple of trucks to help get & take back the tables. We need about 3 trucks & at least 6 people. contact Patty Korn 677-8401 at scottkorn@att.net if this is an area that you would assist with.
In the next couple of weeks there will also be a sign up sheet in the back with the few food items that we will need.
