We can help with Life’s biggest moments

Life Event Resources

Journeys are filled with milestones. Every milestone comes with celebrations and challenges. Here at Still Waters it would be our honor to help you when the time comes. Here are a few of the areas where we can help.

Baptism

Water sustains life for humans, animals, and plants. We clean with warm water and relax in cool water. We find peace listening to the roar of the ocean or taking a stroll in the rain. Water is also important to our life in the church. In the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, we are initiated into Christ’s holy church, incorporated into God’s mighty acts of salvation, and given new birth through water and the Spirit. All of this is God’s gift of divine grace, offered to us without price.

In baptism, God initiates a covenant with us, announced with the words, “The Holy Spirit works within you, that being born through water and the Spirit, you may be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.”  From the beginning, baptism has been the door through which one enters the church, the “Body of Christ” in the world. Baptism commissions us to use our gifts to strengthen the church and to transform the world.

We love baptisms at Still Waters Church! It is a blessing and a joy to welcome infants, children and families into our faith community! All are welcome!

Our Memorial Garden

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Finding solace in a special place where you can sit quietly with your thoughts can bring you comfort. Still Waters Memorial Garden has been established as a long-lasting tribute to loved ones who have passed away. It offers a place for friends and loved ones to remember, pray and heal. For more information about the Still Waters Memorial Garden, contact the church office.

The memorial garden at Still Waters was inspired by Kurt and Linda Kleinhans in 2005. Kurt created a vision for the garden that became a reality through the dedicated efforts of the Ministry Council and Board of Trustees. Butch Beilman and Rick Jasinski collaborated on the design and construction of the Memorial Garden. The men of the church worked many hours implementing the design with its graceful stone pathways and beautiful plantings. A monument featuring the 23rd Psalm was installed by Miller Monument, and engraved commemorative pavers memorialize our loved ones. A stone wall marks the perimeter of this quiet sanctuary. The first memorial service was held in the Still Waters Memorial Garden in 2006 for the man who was its inspiration, Kurt Kleinhans
