Study "Courage"

We have two different options for taking this study, one in person and one on zoom!

  • Monday Night Study, beginning April 8, 7:00 p.m., in person
  • Thursday evening study, beginning April 11, 6:30 p.m., zoom option

Choose which option is best for you! Monday nights Pastor Lori will facilitate in the sanctuary at 7:00. Thursday evenings, Hap and Kathy Itson will facilitate a zoom study at 6:30 p.m. Both options are 6 week studies looking at the book “Courage: Jesus and the Call to Brave Faith” by Tom Berlin. Do you sense you need to be more courageous in certain areas of your life? We’ll look at the clarity, conviction, candor, hope, fortitude, and love of courage as we step more deeply into the remarkable life Jesus offers us. Books are $13 and available in the church lobby.

Confirmation Weekend and Reception

May 4 & 5

Mark your calendars! Confirmation weekend will be May 4/5, all worship services. This is an important time in the lives of our youth, who now ‘confirm’ their faith. That is, they confirm the vows their parents made at their baptism, and now make their own commitment to follow Jesus. You will hear the faith statements and thoughts from our youth and will be blessed to celebrate this pivotal step in their faith journey! We hope to see you there supporting our youth! After the last worship service on Sunday, we will have a reception at 11:30 a.m. Together we'll enjoy cake as we congratulate our new confirmands. All welcome!

Tuesday Morning Study Group

The Month of May

Beginning Tuesday, May 7, we’ll begin a weekly 4-week study, Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. studying together the book “Multiplying Love: A Vision of United Methodist Life Together,” by Paul W. Chilcote. Dr. Chilcote was a professor of historical theology and Wesleyan studies in my seminary, Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and was the first person in my life who made me love history (church history in particular)! He wrote this book in the midst of the radical polarization in our world, underscoring the role of love as central to what we believe and how we live. Books are $14 and are available in the church lobby. Sign up for the small group online or on your Connection Card.
