All are invited to a dinner and movie night on Friday, April 4, 2025. The movie will be "The Way" with Martin Sheen. Dinner will consist of Subs, Chips and water. Dinner will be at 6:30 with the movie starting at 7:00. A free will offering to help cover costs is requested. If there are families with small children who would like to attend, we would be able to offer an alternative movie and child care in the large space in the back education area; to accommodate, we will need to know in advance. Thanks to Still Waters Women for organizing this event with all invited! Bring a friend! Please contact Robin Olson or Debbie Koloski with questions.
Lent is the 40-day season that precedes Easter. It is a time of reflection, study, and preparation as we symbolically walk with Jesus toward the cross and resurrection. This year, we are again planning a church-wide study! On five Wednesday evenings, beginning March 12th, we will meet at church for dinner and small groups. This is an excellent opportunity if you're new to Still Waters or have been here for a long time to get to know some new people and dive deeper into your faith. Here’s the Wednesday schedule:
Each adult study small group will be studying a book upon which the Lenten Sermon series is based. The book is “Questions Jesus Asked” by Magrey R. Devega, (cost $13 for the book and it is available at church.) We all have questions for God, but sometimes we forget that Jesus has questions for us! Sometimes our greatest growth happens when we ask ourselves the same questions that Jesus asks of us. This will be a wonderful time of fellowship, study, and digging deeper into our faith as we journey to the cross and resurrection with Jesus.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. Still Waters Church has been given a wonderful opportunity to partner with Feeding America to help feed Washington County.
We start giving out food around 2pm or as soon as we are set up. If you would like to come early you may as we line up the cars in order as they arrive.
If you are interested in volunteering to help pass out food please come to the church at 1:00pm and we will show you how you can help.
